The Iraqi Ministry of Transport discussed with the Kyrgyz side the enhancement of cooperation in land transportation, aiming to establish a land trade corridor linking Central Asia with the Arabian Gulf region. The two parties discussed preparing an international agreement to organize the transfer of goods and passengers, focusing on facilitating the passage of Kyrgyz trucks through Iraqi territory to the Gulf, and simplifying customs and technical procedures to reduce crossing times and lower costs. They agreed to submit a draft of the agreement for review before its official ratification, with the goal of boosting transit flows and developing trade routes between the two countries.
