The Iraqi Prime Minister, Ali Falah Zaidy, dismissed the commander of Maysan Operations after identifying the source of the drone attacks targeting the east-west pipeline in Saudi Arabia, which originated from within the province. Zaidy ordered the formation of an investigative council to look into the incident. Investigations confirmed that the attacks were launched from outside Saudi territory, with the drones originating from sites inside Maysan. Saudi Arabia announced that it will take measures to prevent the recurrence of such attacks, in support of the Iraqi government’s efforts.
