Qatar Museums debut global musical play
For the first time worldwide, the Qatar Museums presents the theatrical musical "Renewed," running from October 27 to 31 at the Abd El Aziz Nasser Theater in Souk Waqif. Produced by the South African company Isango, the performance combines music, movement, and spoken words to explore the history of the struggle for freedom and self-determination in Palestine and South Africa, through personal testimonies and songs. The show centers on themes of resistance and the fight for liberation, heavily drawing on the words and stories of Palestinian writer Sundus Sabra. It features 15 artists from South Africa and the United Kingdom and aims to document experiences of displacement, apartheid, and the ongoing fight for justice.
