China launches new remote sensing satellite
China successfully launched a new remote sensing satellite aboard a "Ceres-1" rocket from Rizhao City in Shandong Province during its seventh maritime mission in the "Ceres-1" rocket series. The satellite will primarily serve commercial areas and low latitudes along the Maritime Silk Road, especially in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macau Bay Area and southern China. Galaktic Energy has conducted 23 sea-based launches so far and has launched a total of 90 commercial satellites into orbit. Similar satellites have previously been used in remote sensing applications such as disaster prevention, land resource surveys, and weather forecasting.
