Qatar Engineers Workshop on Architecture Award
The Qatar Engineers Association held an introductory workshop about the first edition of the Qatar Architecture Award 2026, which was launched in September to promote excellence and innovation in local architecture. The session focused on designing a "residential villa that meets the modern needs of the Qatari family," with competitions opened for two categories: Qatari and resident individual architects and designers, as well as licensed architectural consulting offices in Qatar. The technical requirements, registration guidelines, and the estimated project budget of 1.2 million Qatari Riyals were reviewed. Due to high interest, the submission deadline was extended until November 22, with a total of 133 participants from 18 nationalities registered so far. Arab nationalities constitute 71.4% of the entrants.
