Ceramics Residency Pact
“Liwan – Studios and Labs for Design” has announced a ceramics residency in partnership with the Uzbekistan Art and Culture Development Foundation and in collaboration with the Qatar Fashion and Crafts Council. The residency will host Uzbek ceramic artists Alisher and Shokhrukh Rahimov. Through workshops and collaborative production, the programme will connect Doha’s ceramic artists with Uzbek traditions, creating pieces that blend Qatari and Uzbek forms, motifs and glazes, with eight creatives taking part. Participants will have the opportunity to develop their skills and exchange knowledge and techniques, drawing on Liwan’s ceramics lab and the support of artist Noura Al-Mulhim.
