Al Shamal targets win
Spanish coach David Prats, who leads Al Shamal, is hoping to beat Iran’s Esteghlal in the fourth round of the AFC Champions League Elite. The match will be played tomorrow, Tuesday, at Basra Stadium in Iraq. He said his team is eager to continue its positive run despite the limited preparation time and the difficulty of the challenge, adding that their win over Al Hilal in the previous round had boosted the players’ morale. Al Shamal have five points and sit eighth, while Esteghlal are fifth with six points. The Qatari side will be looking to claim all three points and strengthen its chances of qualifying.
