People as the Nation’s Asset
Citizens said that Qatar’s 2026 National Day slogan, “You Are the Nation’s Greatest Asset,” inspired by a speech by the Father Emir, Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani, embodies confidence in the country’s people and strengthens values of loyalty, belonging and giving. They explained that the slogan places responsibility on future generations to safeguard the nation’s achievements and carry development forward through education, hard work, dedication, and the preservation of Qatar’s identity and heritage. Athletes also said it motivates them to work hard and raise Qatar’s profile at international events.
