The Ministry of Municipality announced that the 2026–2027 season at the local agricultural produce sales yards will begin tomorrow, Thursday, at the yards in Al Khor and Al Thakhira, Al Wakrah, Al Shamal and Al Sheehaniya. The Al Mazrouah yard welcomes visitors year-round. The yards are open on Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. More than 240 farms are taking part, offering fresh local produce, including seasonal vegetables, honey and dates. The ministry says the initiative supports the direct marketing of local produce. Participation has grown from 24 farms, which sold around 850 tonnes in the 2012–2013 season, to 236 farms and around 12,000 tonnes in 2025–2026.
