Zidane omitted by Algeria
Algeria coach Ibrahim Hamdani left goalkeeper Luca Zidane out of the 26-man squad for the third and fourth rounds of the 2027 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers, stressing that the decision was purely sporting. He said the three selected goalkeepers had more playing time. Algeria will face Togo on November 14 and 16, having taken four points from its first two matches in Group 9.
