EU Announces Resumption of Ukraine Talks Next Monday
The European Union will resume talks on Ukraine's accession to the bloc next Monday after Hungary lifted the veto previously imposed by its former Prime Minister, Viktor Orbán. EU leaders confirmed that negotiations will commence with Ukraine and Moldova, emphasizing the importance of expanding the Union amid increasing global uncertainty. This development follows the new Hungarian government’s agreement to end its objection to Ukraine's membership. It is seen as a symbolic step that supports Ukraine's position after the crisis with Moscow in 2022.
