U.S. Energy Secretary affirms refinery capacity for Venezuelan oil
The U.S. Energy Secretary confirmed that American refineries are capable of processing more Venezuelan oil, as Venezuela's oil production continues to recover and facilities in the Gulf are being adjusted to handle larger volumes of heavy crude. The Venezuelan Ministry of Oil forecasts that crude oil production will reach 1.37 million barrels per day by the end of the year, representing a 22% increase compared to the end of 2025. About half of its exports, totaling 1.25 million barrels per day, are sent to the United States. Additionally, the United States has recorded a new production high of 13.6 million barrels per day, making it the world's largest exporter of oil and fuel.
