Study on early reading effects on families
The "Qatar Reads" initiative has been launched in collaboration with the Women's Health and Research Center at Hamad Medical Corporation and Hamad Bin Khalifa University. It aims to target pregnant women in the third trimester of pregnancy. The program's goal is to promote a culture of early reading by sending customized book parcels in both Arabic and English, and to assess their impact on developing awareness and emotional bonding between parents and the unborn child. The effectiveness of the initiative is being measured through a research study that utilizes surveys and focus groups, supporting the promotion of reading and family relationships from the earliest stages of life.
