Dust storm activity in Al-Riyad decreases by 99% in June

The Kingdom experienced a significant decline in dust and sand storms during June 2026, with a 99% reduction compared to historical levels, while the Northern Borders region saw a complete 100% decrease. This remarkable improvement in air quality reflects the positive outcomes of environmental and climate efforts such as the Saudi Green Initiative, the cloud seeding program, improved vegetation cover, and grazing regulation.
