Kingdom Attends Israeli Occupation Conference
The 98th session of the Regional Offices Contact Officers Conference for the Arab District of Israel focused on strengthening the efforts of Arab boycotts, which are considered a primary peaceful tool to stop Israeli occupation and settlement activities in the occupied Palestinian and Arab lands. The Assistant Secretary-General of the Arab League confirmed that the boycott helps to pressure the occupation and empower the Palestinian people, emphasizing that the boycott is not a substitute for peace but a means to support it. He also stated that continued dealings with settlements violate international law. The conference addressed updates to databases and the development of monitoring and follow-up mechanisms using modern technologies, with an emphasis on the Arab countries' right to use all peaceful means to demand their rights. It was stressed that occupation and settlement activities do not confer legitimacy, and that respecting international law is the fundamental standard in handling the issue.
