Iraq Will Not Permit Cross-Border Attacks
The Iraqi government confirmed that Iraq will not permit the use of its territory to launch attacks on neighboring countries, especially since the drones that attempted to target the Kingdom originated from Iraqi soil, according to ongoing investigations. It also emphasized Iraq's commitment to the principles of good neighborliness and the protection of its relations with Saudi Arabia, affirming that legal measures will be taken against those involved. On the Saudi side, the Ministry of Defense announced that it intercepted and destroyed several drones that attempted to target oil facilities, confirming that these attacks were carried out by Iranian-backed militias from Iraqi territory. The Kingdom also stated that it reserves the right to respond appropriately.
