Saudi ports prolong free storage for transit cargo
The General Authority of Ports in Saudi Arabia has decided to extend the storage exemption period for goods at its ports until September 19, 2026, in order to boost trade movement and support supply chains. The extension covers King Abdulaziz Port in Dammam, Jubail Port, Jeddah Islamic Port, and the ports of Yanbu and NEOM, with exemptions of up to 90 days for transit containers and 15 days for general and bulk cargo. This decision contributes to improving operational efficiency and increasing the competitiveness of Saudi ports both regionally and internationally.
