Justice for both genders
The article explains that the phrase of Allah Almighty, "And not alike are the blind and the seeing," aims to emphasize that the differences between men and women do not indicate inferiority or superiority. Instead, they represent a complement of qualities and roles that Allah has designed for humans. Islam affirms that both men and women are equal in humanity, dignity, and religious responsibility. The differences in characteristics and roles come from wisdom and serve to achieve balance and harmony, not to establish any form of favoritism or valuation. It also clarifies that certain religious texts, such as the Prophet’s ﷺ saying about women being "deficient in intellect and religion," have been misinterpreted. These statements were linked to external signs rather than the worth or capabilities of a person. Ultimately, the article emphasizes that a correct understanding of Islam promotes strength in cooperation and partnership between men and women. Each has a mission that contributes to building society, with the understanding that differences in traits do not diminish human value.
