Houthi militants: modern-day pirates
The article explains that the Houthi militias use terrorism and aggression as means to threaten international navigation, especially through attacking a Saudi ship. This constitutes an international crime and a violation of maritime laws, posing a threat to global economic security and supply chains. It emphasizes that these practices highlight the aggressive nature of this group, which disregards laws and values, and employs weapons and chaos. Their danger extends beyond Yemen, destabilizing both regional and international security. The article underscores the international community's responsibility to hold perpetrators accountable and impose sanctions to protect maritime security, while reaffirming Saudi Arabia's ongoing support for regional stability and security—so that Yemen can regain its security and its waters can once again serve as a corridor for trade and peace.
