Weather Alert: Storms and Floods in Multiple Regions
The National Center of Meteorology forecasts the continuation of atmospheric disturbances across the kingdom today, with chances of scattered thunderstorms of varying intensity in parts of the south and west, particularly Jazan, Asir, Al-Baha, and Mecca. There is a possibility of flash floods and hail showers. These weather conditions are also accompanied by strong winds stirring up dust and sand, which may lead to reduced visibility. The eastern regions, Riyadh, and Medina are also exposed to vigorous winds, urging caution on roads and in areas prone to water accumulation. The Red Sea's conditions range from slight to turbulent, with wind speeds exceeding 50 km/h. Meanwhile, winds in the Arabian Gulf are expected to be from northwesterly to easterly at up to 50 km/h, with waves exceeding two meters and the potential for thunderstorm activity.
