Youth Development Workshop and Competition Restructure
The article discusses the organization of a detailed workshop in Taif as part of the Saudi Football Federation's strategy to restructure youth competitions, aiming to develop age groups starting from 5 years old. The plan includes introducing new age categories such as under 5, under 7, and under 9, along with improving the structure of older age groups to enhance players' individual and technical development and reduce early dropout from the sport. It also emphasizes organizing regular festivals and competitions through innovative methods to promote skill development. The initiative targets attracting 24,000 players from more than 50 cities, involving 1,300 teams, and conducting approximately 13,000 matches throughout the season, all aimed at preparing players to represent national teams in the future. Additionally, it seeks to activate collaboration between the education, sports, and community sectors to achieve success.
