A million riyals deters them
The article discusses the increasing number of candidates running for the presidency of the Saudi Football Federation, amid many skeptics about the qualifications of some candidates on one hand, and others whose primary goal is to gain media attention rather than genuine victory in the race. The writer proposes imposing a financial fee of one million riyals on each candidate list, which would be refunded if they manage to reach the decisive stage of the competition. This aims to reduce non-serious candidacies and curb impulsive attempts to appear publicly at the expense of the sport's best interests. The article also emphasizes the importance of self-confidence and not relying on the admiration of others, while underscoring that the presidency is a sensitive position that requires genuine qualifications.
