Saudi Arabia continues its national efforts to combat human trafficking, recognizing this crime as one of the most severe challenges threatening human dignity. Each year, on July 30th, this commitment is reaffirmed, aligning with the United Nations' stance to raise awareness about the dangers of trafficking. Saudi Arabia has launched a unique national policy under the Cabinet, focusing on eradicating forced labor and protecting workers' rights, grounded in Islamic Sharia principles and international conventions. Government actions include conducting inspection campaigns, documenting employment contracts, and improving the working environment, alongside awareness campaigns and developing reporting and monitoring mechanisms. In the first quarter of the year, the Ministry carried out over 120,000 proactive inspections and received more than 1,600 reports of suspected cases, leading to the referral of violators to the relevant authorities. This underscores Saudi Arabia's commitment to protecting human rights and achieving its Vision 2030 goals of promoting justice and dignity.
