The ministerial meeting to support Jerusalem held in Amman today issued widespread condemnations of Israel's escalating policies in Jerusalem and the Islamic and Christian holy sites. These include attempts to alter the city's historical and legal identity, assaults on Al-Aqsa Mosque, and threats to the Christian presence. The participants emphasized that East Jerusalem is part of the occupied Palestinian territories, and that Israeli policies hold no legal validity. They called on the international community to take immediate action to halt these measures and stressed the importance of adhering to UN resolutions and the Arab Peace Initiative. The meeting also discussed the need to protect holy sites, support the steadfastness of Jerusalem residents, and reject any unilateral decisions that could change the city's legal status, reaffirming that the Jordanian Endowments Authority is the sole entity responsible for matters concerning Al-Aqsa Mosque.
