The Saudi Council of Ministers has approved a modification to the land development decision related to support housing programs, aiming to enhance private sector participation, increase housing supply, and provide units for beneficiaries of developmental housing. The amendment intends to enable investors to develop the lands and implement housing units in exchange for ownership of a percentage of the land, thereby improving execution efficiency and accelerating housing projects. This supports the achievement of Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030 goals, particularly increasing homeownership rates and strengthening social protection. The ministry will announce the implementation regulations after completing the necessary procedures in coordination with relevant authorities.
