U.S. lifts sanctions on three IRGC-linked entities
The U.S. Department of the Treasury has lifted counter-terrorism sanctions on three airlines and two crews that were previously on sanctions lists due to their connections to the Iranian Revolutionary Guard. The department did not specify the reasons for the delisting or whether it was related to diplomatic developments or understandings with Tehran. This occurs less than a week after new sanctions were imposed on networks supporting Mahan Air, which is linked to the Revolutionary Guard. The Revolutionary Guard is designated as a terrorist organization by the United States, and the department continues to update its sanctions lists regularly.
