The article describes Al-Ittihad Saudi Club's situation as if it were a plump, full watermelon filled with promises and delayed achievements. It links the management's big promises and the fans' optimism to a popular saying that refers to procrastination and postponement. It points out that the club’s management promised a huge budget, an international coach, and new investments to restore the team to its former glory; however, the reality shows that those promises remain hanging, as if fans are waiting for their favorite fruit to grow and ripen but without any flavor or benefit — much like a large watermelon punctured with overdue deadlines. The article emphasizes that celebrating World Watermelon Day highlights the club’s deep-seated delays and broken promises, and insists that fans are now looking forward to real actions that turn those promises into tangible results before the start of the season.
