The General Authority of Civil Aviation and Air Transport in Syria announced the reopening of Deir ez-Zor International Airport after approximately 14 years of closure, following the completion of maintenance and rehabilitation works. The airport has resumed domestic flights with the arrival of its first flight from Damascus International Airport, as well as its first international flight from Kuwait. This move is part of efforts to expand the network of air destinations and boost air traffic, with the goal of facilitating passenger movement and enhancing economic and investment activity in the region.
