Suicide drone causes disruption at Leipzig airport
Reports indicated that navigation at Leipzig Airport in Germany was disrupted after a drone equipped with an explosive payload was found on the runway near a Ukrainian aircraft. This led to the police being called and the drone, which was classified as an explosive device and incendiary device, being neutralized. Another freight plane was rerouted and safely landed in Hanover. The airport is considered an important logistical hub for transporting military equipment for Germany and NATO countries. The Ukrainian ambassador accused Russia, amid suspicions that the incidents are linked to sabotage attempts and security tensions, while Moscow denied any connection to the events.
