Ex-Al-Ahly chief defends Yaisleh
The article focused on Abdulaziz Al-Anqari's defense, the former president of Al-Ahli Club, of German coach Matthias Jaissle after his departure from coaching the club. Al-Anqari affirmed that the accomplishments Jaissle achieved during his tenure—those that include the two biggest achievements in the club's history—were the best response to the criticisms and campaigns he faced. He clarified that his move to Newcastle United was the result of interest from major European clubs, and that the transfer of the coach to the English Premier League should not be blamed on him, emphasizing that the coach was seeking the best opportunity both financially and morally. Additionally, Al-Anqari criticized the club management for contracting him previously for four years without penalty clauses, and for their doubts and lack of confidence in him, stressing that money alone is not enough to retain coaches, and that a positive work environment and trust are the most important factors. He concluded by emphasizing that Jaissle’s chapter is closed, with a focus on the club’s future.
