The Medina Region Municipality has launched a pilot operation for the second phase of the "Mawaqif Al-Madina" project in five main areas, with the aim of organizing parking, improving its management, and facilitating access to vital areas. The project covers Prince Mohammed bin Abdulaziz Street, Prince Abdulmohsen bin Abdulaziz Street, Sultana Street, Omar bin Al-Khattab Street, and King Fahd Street. The pilot will run until September 26, during which parking will be free for registered users through the "Mawaqif Al-Madina" app. After the trial period, parking fees will be set at 3.45 SAR per hour, with payment options available via the app or a payment code. The project seeks to reduce the time spent searching for parking, increase traffic flow, and decrease random stopping.
