US stock futures steady as oil prices climb
U.S. stock futures stabilized as oil prices rose, with the Dow Jones and S&P 500 indices failing to break above the breakeven point, while the Nasdaq 100 decreased by 0.2%. Oil prices climbed nearly 1% amid reports of Iran's intention to target U.S. military sites in Europe, increasing fears of rising inflation and pushing global yields higher. On the market front, Moderna recorded the biggest gain, rising over 60% after success with its experimental cancer vaccine, while shares of Oracle, Alphabet, and Intel declined, and OpenAI's results were negatively affected. Markets are awaiting the Federal Open Market Committee meeting minutes, which may shed light on divisions within the bank regarding interest rate hikes, following the recent meeting that showed disagreements among members.
