Poetry Slam poet Hamed Al-Qarahi announced his retirement from poetry after nearly 25 years of presence in the poetry arenas, confirming that his decision is final and came after deep reflection and full conviction. He mentioned that the idea of stepping back had been on his mind for six years, and he chose today to withdraw because he believes the time is right, attributing his decision to respect for the audience and love. He clarified that despite his strong presence and interaction with the crowd, he has other priorities that deserve his attention. He will not participate in events generally or will participate sporadically in a specific region, as he has preferred to withdraw completely. He reassured his fans that he is in good health, denying that his decision is related to any personal issue or conflict. He emphasized that his career has been good, and he hopes it ends on a positive note, with great respect for poets and icons in the poetry arenas. His career, which spanned 25 years, is among the most notable in the folk poetry scene in the kingdom, where his contributions and connection with the audience helped establish his status as one of the icons of this art form.
