During the second quarter of 2026, Saudi Arabia provided extensive financial and developmental support to Yemen aimed at strengthening recovery and sustainable development pathways. The support included implementing projects valued at 1.9 billion riyals across the energy, water, education, health, and transportation sectors, in addition to contributing 224 million riyals to the Yemeni budget and providing $150 million worth of petroleum derivatives to ensure the continuous supply of electricity services. Among the key projects are the construction of 100-megawatt power generation stations in Hadramout and the promotion of water security through solar energy, as well as the rehabilitation of hundreds of residential and educational units. The efforts focus on energy sustainability, infrastructure improvement, and human resource development, with international cooperation and partnerships with organizations such as the World Bank and the United Nations, all aimed at supporting economic stability and enhancing Yemen's capacity for recovery and growth.
