The Imam Abdulaziz bin Muhammad Reserve Development Authority and the King Khalid Reserve have implemented several projects to remove debris and waste within the two protected areas. The goal is to restore the sites, improve the environment, and conserve natural resources. By the end of the second quarter of 2026, more than 65,000 loads of debris and waste have been cleared, covering an area of over 3,900 hectares, with a weight exceeding 1.6 million tons, all in accordance with environmental standards. These efforts have contributed to enhancing the affected sites and preparing them for sustainable environmental and tourism activities, utilizing specialized equipment and environmental supervision to ensure best practices. These initiatives are part of the authority’s efforts to achieve the goals of Saudi Arabia's Vision 2030 in promoting environmental sustainability.
