The Saudi Capital Market Authority focused on reviewing the procedures and methods for pricing and distributing shares in initial public offerings during 2025, amid a significant decline in the performance of some new stocks. It engaged with both local and foreign investment banks to discuss trading mechanisms and market confidence. Reports revealed that some shares issued during the year experienced losses of around 27%, alongside a 30% decline in trading volumes. Although the total value of offerings remained at the same level as the previous year, the market became smaller in 2025. It is likely that reforms will lead to improved valuations and greater stock stability after listing, with the goal of boosting investor confidence and ensuring the market's sustainability as a primary source of funding.
