A joint statement was issued by the foreign ministers of Saudi Arabia, Jordan, the United Arab Emirates, Indonesia, Pakistan, Turkey, Qatar, and Egypt, strongly denouncing the Israeli illegal settlement policies in the occupied Palestinian territories, particularly the E1 settlement plan east of Jerusalem. The statement warned that this plan represents a serious escalation that threatens the geographical continuity between the West Bank and East Jerusalem, undermining the possibility of establishing an independent Palestinian state based on the 1967 borders with East Jerusalem as its capital. The ministers emphasized that these actions violate international law and United Nations resolutions, constituting a threat to regional and international peace and security. They called for a complete halt to the plan and the imposition of sanctions on those supporting settlement expansion, reaffirming that the two-state solution is the only way to achieve a just and sustainable peace in the region.
