Education's own barriers
The article addresses the development of education in Saudi Arabia, emphasizing that most recent plans and projects rely on recycling old ideas or copying international experiences without considering the local context. It stresses that the problem is not a lack of ideas but rather a lack of implementation and listening to the realities of the education field. Effective solutions have existed for decades, but they have not been applied or have been abandoned. The article highlights that true innovation requires solutions tailored to the environment of the Kingdom and the conditions of its schools and teachers, rather than simply adopting modern terminology or Western technologies. It also underscores the importance of teachers and administrators paying attention to the actual field situation, asserting that understanding the problems from within the local system is more important than imported theories. Improving education demands re-evaluating what has not yet been implemented from previous years, instead of waiting for new ideas from abroad.
