The 1448-1449 AH academic year began in most regions of the Kingdom, with public schools welcoming students back after the summer vacation. The schools' readiness and preparations were organized and emphasized. The academic calendar includes important holidays such as National Day, the Autumn Break, mid-year break, and the Eid Al-Fitr and Eid Al-Adha holidays. The start times for schools are scheduled to help families prepare. The beginning of the school year varies across regions, with some starting today, while in the Western regions it begins on August 30. There is an emphasis on the role of families in preparing students to transition from vacation to the school routine to ensure a stable start, promote academic achievement, and reinforce discipline.
