Labor and materials raise Saudi building costs 2.3% in July

Construction costs in Saudi Arabia increased by 2.3% year-over-year in July 2026, with the index remaining stable compared to the previous month. The rise was primarily driven by higher costs for non-residential housing, which increased by 2.6%, and residential sector costs, which went up by 2.2%. The main factors contributing to this include increased rental prices for equipment and machinery, labor and energy costs, and the prices of essential materials such as wood and other building supplies, all of which have affected the overall expense of construction projects.
