Customs urges Gulf vehicle owners in Saudi Arabia to update status
The Zakat, Tax, and Customs Authority has invited owners of Gulf vehicles currently in Saudi Arabia or those authorized to drive them to take advantage of a correction period lasting 90 days, starting from August 26, 2026, and ending on November 23, 2026, to rectify their status. Vehicle owners can correct their status by transferring ownership to Saudi plates or by removing the vehicle from the Kingdom before the deadline. It is also possible to request an extension of up to 30 days before the regulatory deadline. This initiative is part of efforts to regulate the stay of Gulf cars within the Kingdom according to new regulations that will come into effect starting August 2026.
