It emphasizes that a successful teacher prefers to introduce classroom rules using positive language and balances firmness with flexibility. The article highlights the importance of ending a brief activity to help students express their interests and expectations, and advocates for using diagnostic tests and classroom observations at the beginning of the year to identify individual differences. This approach supports the development of remedial and enrichment programs.
