Britain cancels many cross-country trains
The British company "Cross Country" experienced a widespread outage of its train services due to a power outage that affected the control center in Birmingham, resulting in the disruption of many railway network management systems. As a result of this outage, the company suspended most of its services across all lines, including the main routes connecting Glasgow to Edinburgh, Manchester to Birmingham, Cheltenham to Cardiff, and Newcastle to Edinburgh, until further notice. The outage highlights the need for technical repairs, with services operating nearly normally between Peterborough and Cambridge and Stansted Airport, while replacement bus services continue between Leicester and Peterborough.
