Crown Prince and Macron Discuss Gulf Security
In response to the headline, the article discusses the meeting between Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman and French President Emmanuel Macron in Paris, where they explored ways to strengthen bilateral cooperation across political, economic, and security fields. The two sides reviewed the activation of the Strategic Partnership Council, established during Macron’s visit to Saudi Arabia in 2024, with the aim of transforming political rapprochement into tangible projects in areas such as security, defense, energy, investment, technology, transportation, health, and culture. This is intended to support Saudi Arabia's Vision 2030 and meet the needs of the French economy. Additionally, they agreed to sign several memoranda of understanding to enhance economic and investment collaboration, and to organize a business forum to foster investment and develop company partnerships. These efforts are part of broader initiatives to support regional stability and coordinate on various regional issues, including the Palestinian cause, the situations in Gaza, Syria, and Lebanon.
