Bahrain's imports reach 2.7B dinars in 7 months

The value of Bahrain's imports during the first seven months of 2026 totaled approximately 2.682 billion Bahraini dinars. The highest monthly figure was recorded in January at around 527.8 million dinars, followed by February with 523.1 million dinars. Imports then declined to 221.1 million dinars in March before gradually increasing again, reaching 287.7 million dinars in April, 311.7 million dinars in May, 372.5 million dinars in June, and approximately 437.9 million dinars in July. The months of June and July alone accounted for about 810.4 million dinars in imports, roughly one-third of the total during this period. China ranked first among supplying countries, with imports valued at approximately 389.9 million dinars, closely followed by the United Arab Emirates with 389.6 million dinars. Saudi Arabia came third with 236.6 million dinars, then India with 154.2 million dinars, and the United Kingdom with 147.2 million dinars. The most imported commodities included aluminum oxide at the highest value, followed by gold in bullion form, aircraft engine parts, gold jewelry and accessories, iron ore, and household medicines. The data indicates that the top 10 supplying countries accounted for about 68.8% of total imports, with China and the UAE being the main economic partners during this period.
