Transport Authority Reports 23% Rise in Public Transit Use in Kingdom Q2 2026

Public transportation ridership within the Kingdom increased by 23.2% in the second quarter of 2026, reaching over 26.34 million passengers compared to the same period of the previous year. This growth reflects a rising demand for city bus services, in line with enhancements in technical facilities and an expansion of services to include more vital areas. Riyadh led the list with 20.07 million passengers, followed by Mecca and Jeddah.
