Ohod Club Governance Challenges
The article discusses the challenges faced in implementing governance systems in Saudi sports clubs, particularly Atident Club (Uhad). It highlights administrative flaws and a lack of qualified personnel, which have led to a superficial application of governance regulations without achieving genuine technical and developmental results. The report emphasizes that the crisis stems from the unpreparedness of digital and administrative infrastructure, as well as the absence of dedicated expertise, negatively impacting the clubs' sustainability and their progress in continental competitions. It also underscores the need to rebuild the club by integrating experienced and professional talents and developing governance standards tailored to the clubs' circumstances. Additionally, it suggests leveraging Uhad’s popularity to attract sponsors and partners to ensure financial sustainability, moving away from temporary solutions.
