The southwestern regions of the Kingdom experienced heightened tension due to persistent thunderstorms from Monday to Friday, with forecasts of moderate to heavy rainfall in Mecca, including Taif, Misan, Odom, and Al-‘Ula. This has led to flash floods, hail, and downdraft winds stirring up dust and dirt. The General Directorate of Civil Defense has urged everyone to stay in safe locations, avoid flood-prone areas and valleys, refrain from swimming in them, and prioritize safety. Citizens are also advised to follow the instructions issued through media outlets.
