City departures but leases remain
The article addresses the issue of residential lease contracts and their impact on tenants who have been forced to leave their cities due to job transfer decisions or emergency circumstances. It discusses how some landlords insist on terminating contracts and receiving full financial dues. The article emphasizes that contracts are binding for both parties and that civil transaction laws allow for contract termination in emergency situations, provided each case is evaluated independently. It also highlights the importance of early negotiation between tenants and landlords to minimize losses, and the need for clear contractual clauses regarding early termination and mechanisms for compensating the affected party, while taking into account the landlord's right to financial returns and the tenant's circumstances.
