Civil Status Authority clarifies death certificate corrections
The Saudi Civil Status Agency has announced procedures for amending death certificates via the "Absher" platform. Beneficiaries can modify information such as the country of death, city of death, date and time of death, and cause of death. They can request multiple modifications in a single application by attaching documents that verify the accuracy of the changes. Once the request is accepted, they can obtain a printed copy of the amended certificate, either through delivery services or by viewing the request on the "Absher" platform. This service is part of the digital transformation efforts to facilitate the updating of official documents and reduce the need for in-person visits.
